Word of the Day: God’s Timing Is The Best

Have you ever had an appointment either friendly or official and the other party arrived late? And when they finally arrived, they gave lame excuses. You felt utterly disrespected and not taken serious of. You are not alone, it is a human weakness. Unfortunately this weakness goes deep in human that we term God’s timing as lateness, if things don’t forge in our style.

God is no human, He doesn’t need us for Him to exist, we need Him for our own existence. It is in this regards that we should ask God in a humble prayer to give us patience, ability to hold ground on our position, whether we enjoy it or not so that we can wait for His timing and not ours.

A pot cannot dictate when to be molded by the potter and the same applies to us, we cannot force God to do what we want. His will must prevail. Our lifespan is just a portion of his own time; eternity. If He seems late to arrive at your own time, it is because it is not yet time for that appointment.

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end – it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”
Habakkuk 2:3

Jeremiah 31:3- I have loved you with an everlasting love and I have drawn you with my loving kindness. Last Thursday I woke for morning devotion as usual. But the moment I hit the prayer mart, I was overwhelmed by a strong presence of God’s love, God’s joy and God’s goodness. The air or the presence was thick yet transparent. I could touch it and I could feel it.
