Churchill Claims Teacher Wanjiku Did Not Quit The Show

Churchill Live producers have denied claims that comedianne Teacher Wanjiku has quit the show saying that she is only on a short break.

According to Nairobi News, Waudo Munyasia, Laugh Industry’s spokesperson said that Wanjiku requested a short break which is normal for any comedy act as they break to repackage themselves.

“Eric Omondi and AKA have taken a break too. Eric is coming back this week after a month-long break and AKA will be back soon,” he said. ““She (Wanjiku) wanted to think through her character and see what changes she would like to make, but she will be back once she is ready.”

Regarding the rumour that Wanjiku had left after the producers demanded a 50% cut of the payment she earned from the Airtel adverts he had this to say, “Churchill cannot do such a thing. These were just malicious rumours by some blogs.”

His statement contradicts an earlier report that Teacher Wanjiku made allegedly claiming to have left the show to venture into her own projects even saying that she had informed Churchill of her move before hand as there was no bad blood between them.

This leads us to the question, ‘What exactly is going on here? Has she quit or is she just on a break from the show?-vibeweekly.com
