Uhuru and KideroPresident Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday fended off stiff competition from Governor Evans Kidero and butchers to buy the largest bull at the Nairobi Trade Fair.

In 2014, the President’s Sh600,000 bid was beaten by Karim Kurji of Prime Cut, who bought the champion
bull at Sh670,000.

This year, Uhuru was not to be outdone as he
increased his initial bid of Sh600,000, after Prime Cut and Spring Field
Meat Limited had offered Sh950,000 and Sh700,000 respectively.

Kidero, who also participated in the auction, offered Sh950,000 to win the reserve bull.

Both bulls were donated to Nairobi county police officers in recognition of their efforts in ensuring security.
