In an attempt to express his displeasure, the man reportedly charged and tried to attack an in-flight translator identified as Kornchaok Luckhana.

The incident, which happened in a flight headed for Nairobi from Guangzou, China, caused commotion prompting the crew to apprehend the unidentified man.

According to a report by Nairobi News, the suspect was set to be arraigned in court on Tuesday to answer to charges of threatening persons on board.

This comes a few weeks after several Chinese nationals were released by a Nairobi Court after being in custody for more than a year.

The 37 foreigners had been arrested in 2014 on suspicion of engaging in illegal cyber operations and planning to hack Kenya’s financial and communication systems.

However, the judge ruled that the investigators failed to provide enough evidence to sustain a solid case against them.
