VIDEO:DJ Creme Gives Details Of His Imprisonment in America

Last week, DJ Creme was detained by United States immigration and subsequently flown back “in the next available flight” after the officials found out he did not have the “right documentation” for his visit.

DJ Creme was billed as the headlining act for Dallas Memorial Day holiday weekend but on arrival at the Dallas International Airport, he was questioned and “denied entry”.

“The guys wanted too much information. They asked about my folks, my kids…,” Creme told Kalekye Mumo during an interview on the Kiss FM breakfast show, “They asked about the [sex tape] scandal. Man!”

He added, “This is the catch though, the guy was like, this is off the record.”

The DJ narrated how he was grilled.

“It was crazy because these guys ask you how much you were meant to make when you land in America. But this is the p*ssing part, they ask you questions that they already know. They told me that it is actually an offense to lie to an officer. They called it ‘fraud’. These guys were using big words. I was like “I’m a fraudster now?!”

Creme was then frogmarched and taken to an actual jail.

“What you see on TV, Prison Break . It is real man. Because it is policy, they have to cuff you and bundle you behind their [prison] truck,” he said, “You get to prison, you are handed this paper bag with orange clothes, ugly bad ones. I was locked up for real.”

He continued, “I kept telling them, ‘Please, I don’t want a cellmate because I know what happens in jail.”

The spinmaster pointed an accusing finger to a US based Kenyan promoter, Kelly Ochieng for “snitching on him” to the immigration officers.

Reacting to these, Kelly posted his Facebook page denying the accusations.

His post, in part, read: “I work hard to create an event that people respond to & I am glad yall have supported me fully. I am very sorry for Creme who is a cool friend of mine. I wish nothing like that for anyone. Creme should know that I paid for the main flyer he was being promoted on for Dallas.”

He continued, “I even recommended promoters to buy his shows. My assessment is simple – Creme was not prepared fully by the host promoter, he probably got questions he was not ‘prepared for’ and since its a visiting visa, he was sent back. On the other side, the promoter wants sympathy so he will cry & complain & blame someone. I mean why would a promoter post a personal conversation he had with Creme on facebook just to justify their unpreparedness & unprofessionalism & blame someone else for their failure?

Anyhow, this being the first visit to America, Creme said it was not a “deportation” and that his “visa was not cancelled”.

“I’m not bitter. It is a lesson I have learnt. Just get your paper work right, don’t trust these promoters, at the end of the day do your research. Lesson learnt. I’m easy,” Creme concluded.
