Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been accused of being high on “Shisha” when he declared interest in the 2022 presidential race.
Speaking on Sunday during an event organised by Jubilee leaders in Likoni, Senator Hassan Omar said Joho’s ambition to become president were as a result of “shisha stimulation”.
“I did not know shisha makes someone drunk,” Omar stated.
The Mombasa Senator rubbished Joho’s chances of becoming president adding that there were more educated candidates for the seat.
He termed Joho’s leadership a failure and went ahead to criticise the Governor for not solving the drainage problem in Mombasa.
Senator Omar and Joho turned to be rivals after the former declared an interest in the Mombasa Gubernotorial race.
The Wiper Democratic Movement Secretary General also attacked CORD leader Raila Odinga for distributing bursaries in Kilifi yet he criticized Uhuru for doing the same.
“Raila Odinga is quick to criticize Uhuru (president) for doing clerical work of issuing title deeds but again he (Raila) is happy to distribute bursary funds to Mombasa residents which I believe should be left to chiefs and village elders. The politics of hypocrisy are outdated & not helpful” Omar said.
