The Houston Community fell in love with Jane Mwangi’s journey about a year ago through social media and word of mouth including the recent walks held Dallas.
As we continue to support her, Jane has accepted our invitation to hold yet another walk in the city of Houston, TX and we are now ready to take the baton from Dallas and continue the race in Houston, TX.
We are excited to announce the “Houston Rocks With Jane Walk” that will be held on 8/13/2016 at the Sugar land Memorial Park Brazos River Park Trail from 8am-11am.
The walk is scheduled to be flagged off at 8am to beat the crazy Houston heat so please arrive between 7am-8am to pick up your t-shirt for the walk. Also, everyone will be required to stop at the registration table to get a wristband in order to participate in the race.

After the walk, the Houston Community will hold a special barbeque in honor of Jane Mwangi from noon onwards and we will have fun games, activities and music to celebrate her journey so come one, come all and bring all your kids too and get to visit with Jane.
The barbeque will be held at the same venue as the walk and we will sell snacks (samosas, chapatis, mandazis) and soft drinks.
There will also be nyam-chom for sale courtesy of our famous nyam-chom guy, Dosh. Please note 100% of funds collected from the sale of food, tickets for the walk and t-shirts will go to “Jane Mwangi Will Walk Again fund”.
We are appealing to everyone that can make it for the walk to please attend. Special invitations to fellow friends in Austin and San Antonio as well as Dallas.
