Uhuru was in Narok for the homecoming ceremony for the newly appointed GDC managing director Engineer Johnson ole Nchoe at his Rotian home.

Kenta, who was elected on TNA ticket, said that he could not gatecrash a private function.

“The event was private and I could not force myself to function meant for few people,” Kenta who spoke to the Star on phone said.

He was responding to comments made by Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery during the function that he (Kenta) was being disrespectful to the President.

“I am disappointed for your MP not to be in an event attended by the President and on behalf of the community I would like to apologize to the head of state for the behavior demonstrated by the legislator,” Nkaisssery said.

The event was also attended by Energy CS Charles Keter, national assembly majority leader Aden Duale, Narok governor Samuel Tunai among other leaders.

Nkaissery said the MP was around Narok town at the time the President was in the region.

But Kenta refuted the claims saying that he was in Nairobi and accused Nkaissery of being dictatorial and trying to force everything in the Maasailand.

“Instead of apologizing on my behalf to the president for skipping the event, he should first apologise to the people of Kajiado Central for losing the seat to ODM in the recent by-election,” the MP said.

“How can the head of state visit my constituency without informing me and I am the only TNA MP elected in the county?” he asked.
