Jemima Sumgong has been promoted by the KDF from Senior Private to Corporal after winning gold for the country at the just concluded Rio Olympics.
Ms Sumgong received a hero’s welcome at Moi Air Base, Nairobi on Tuesday.

She said that she is now eyeing the London IAAF world championships next year and also plans to defend her title in Japan 2020.
