Nakuru town experienced heavy traffic for the better part of Friday afternoon as followers of self-proclaimed ‘Prophet’ Owuor lined up on the streets to welcome him.
Buses from all parts of the country made their way to bring hundreds of followers who arrived for a three-day conference, dubbed ‘mega healing crusade.”

The huge crowd camped at Geoffrey Kamau Way roundabout for more than three hours and braved the chilly weather as they sang and danced until the pastor arrived at 6:00pm.
‘Prophet’ Owuor rode into town escorted by a fleet of cars that snarled up Kenyatta Avenue to Mericca Hotel where he will be spending the night.
Also escorting him was the National Youth Service Band matching as they led the motorcade to Kenyatta Avenue while dozens of ‘men in black’ matched alongside the convoy.
Dr Owuor received an ecstatic welcome from the Nakuru residents who were anxiously awaiting him as his motorcade made its way into the Nakuru Town Central Business District.

He made a stop at the Merica Hotel after the ecstatic crowd fought to have a glance at him with security officers blocking roads leading to the venue.
Outside Merica Hotel, he addressed throng of followers who were waiting for him as they danced to gospel tunes.
The self-proclaimed prophet will start his crusade on Saturday morning.
On Thursday, the Repentance and Holiness faithfuls swept and washed the roads in Nakuru town in preparation for the three-day conference to be held at Menengai Technology Farm.
