An inspiring story of a Nairobi conductor has touched many who have expressed delight into the hustle taken up by the young man in the struggle make ends meet.
The story of the matatu conductor only identified asDouglas has been making rounds on Facebook revealing how he has been jossling between his job and studies in an effort to excel in both.
According to the narrative, Mr Douglas recently cleared a course in Bachelor of Commerce and is awaiting graduation later in the year but still persists on going back to the books despite his busy daytime job.
He is also pursuing a Certificate of Public Account (CPA) and is scheduled to sit for the course’s section II exams in December.
What has impressed many is his ability to balance studies and work since he carries his revision books to the matatu and concentrates on reading as soon as he is done collecting fare.
Many seemed inspired by the story and admitted of having been taught an important lesson by the conductor reportedly working in a matatu plying Lang’ata route.
