Aspiring Governor Peter Kenneth was on Monday involved in a fierce Twitter exchange after being linked to an alleged secret meeting involving Jubilee Party officials held at night.

Mr Kenneth, who was accused by one Bob Odhiambo of being a Jubilee mole on social media, came out guns blazing to attack his accuser.

“Peter Kenneth after denying attending JP meetings held at night you are now confirming you’re actually part of the team. KOT smoke people out!” Odhiambo stated.

According to Odhiambo, the recent announcement by Kenneth that he would be vying on a Jubilee ticket in 2017 was proof enough that he was on Jubilee’s payroll.

However, the former Gatanga MP, who is known for his likeable character, was swift to lambaste Mr Odhiambo stating: “Rubbish, I have never attended the meeting you refer.”

In a quick rejoinder, Odhiambo fired back at the 2013 Presidential contender: “The same energy you’re using to shout ‘rubbish’ is the same you used to deny allegations that you were actually a Jubilee mole. Nothing you say can be trusted.”

In reply, Kenneth challenged Odhiambo to reveal who he (Kenneth) was working for in the last election if he was an actual mole.

“Odhiambo you are entitled to your opinion, even the ignorant ones are,” the former MP for Gatanga expressed.

Here is the thread of tweets:

It’s dawning on us that u were actually part of a larger scheme of the UTHAMAKI thinking. You played with the dreams of an entire generation https://twitter.com/Peter_Kenneth/status/790432873623027712

Kenneth set the stage for a countrywide debate when he finally disclosed that he would vie for governorship either in Nairobi or Murang’a County come 2017 elections.

An online poll conducted by Kenyans.co.ke established that he was supported by a majority of the public for the Murang’a seat. A good number of the public commented that clinching the Nairobi Governor’s seat would be a tall order for the former Presidential contender.
