Mr Mwangi was awarded alongside three others including former auditor at the Ministry of Health, Bernard Muchere, who brought to light the Sh5 Billion scandal at Afya House.

The five were given the integrity champions award during the International Anti-Corruption day celebrations held at Ufangamano House.

Wanjeru Nderu, a social justice crusader and Winny Obure – Famous feminist and Human right defender – were also awarded.

Anti-corruption campaigner John Githogo was also at the event where he sharply condemned corruption which has marred the Jubilee Government.

“Corruption is THEFT, period. No one can allow their daughter to marry a THIEF,” Githongo remarked.

The event came a day after Mwangi shamed a Member of Parliament whom he found breaking traffic rules in the City Centre.

Mwangi, who was driving alongside NTV news anchor Larry Madowo, met the politician who is said to be Mwingi West Member of Parliament (MP) Bernard Kitungi, driving against oncoming traffic along Parliament Road.

Mwangi and Madowo forced the lawmaker to reverse and get on the appropriate lane.
