Nairobi county gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth has started his mission to seek for support as he seeks to dethrone Governor Evans Kidero in the August 8 General Election.

And his first stop on Monday, February 6, was in Mukuru Kayaba slums where he visited residents and interacted with them.
Among the things Kenneth did was to walk precariously on a dangerous sewage bridge, perhaps to come to the reality of the kind of life slum dwellers go through.

Mukuru Kayaba, just like many slums in Nairobi, is an informal settlement within Nairobi’s Industrial Area. Live is difficult for many in this slum.
Kenneth went on to play ‘draft’ with locals and then met mama mbogas and small kiosk owners where he interacted.

While some saw it as an act of humility, many believe it is just one of the many shenanigans politicians will bring on board as they seek votes.
They argue that politicians will do anything during the electioneering period but once they are elected they will wait for another five years to show up.

Kenneth will face off with a host of other aspirants including Kidero, Mike Sonko, Miguna Miguna and Kenneth Marende.
