Nyali MP Hezron Awiti has blamed party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for his tribulations at Wiper Party that saw him leave the outfit for a new one.

Mr Awiti said Mr Musyoka promised him nominations would be done to decide who between him and Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar would face Governor Hassan Joho in the August polls but it never happened.

According to the MP, a meeting comprising of 600 delegates to elect the flagbearer, was cancelled at the last minute.

“We held talks for several hours before the agreement was reached . But when it came to holding the delegates meeting, Kalonzo betrayed me,” he said.

“When I asked what the problem was I was told we were going to negotiate. Later, Omar was endorsed by some people and I said enough is enough and walked out,” he said.

He was speaking at Wild Waters Entertainment Park where he was formally received by officials of Vibrant Democratic Party.

Mr Awiti claimed Mr Omar had agreed to defend his senate seat only for him to change his mind.
