Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity, a Kenyan born Human Rights Activist and former Secretary General of the Kenya Civil Servants Union, who was recently Honored with a Honor Roll certificate by President Donald Trump and the Vice President Michael Pence for his devotion and dedication to the service of the American people, has written an open letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta, through Ambassador Robinson Githae, the Kenyan Ambassador to the USA. In his letter Dr. Kinity warns of the great dangers posed by the continued grenade activities which are causing a lot of vibrations at the Menengai Hill in Nakuru, which is known to be a dormant volcano.

MENENGAI CRATORÂ IN NAKURU:

Please heed to the advise of the Kenya Hero Koigi wa Wamwere and intervene to prevent an eruption of the Menengai Crator in Nakuru. Remember that the Menengai Crator is a Dormant Volcano which can erupt, especially if provoked. The activities which are now taking place around the crator will no doubt be a catalyst in the eruption of an already dormant volcano. Many Kenyans residents of Nakuru and the adjacent areas, are fully aware of these threats and are very worried of their lives but corruption in Kenya has no mercy.
The Menengai hills in Nakuru has been turned into a Quarry business of harvesting building stones, building sand and building gravel. Grenades and other hazard materials are being used in these business. The vibration of the earth due to the grenades used, will definitely awaken the dormant volcano at one given time. The consequences of such a volcanic eruption would be unbearable because of the big numbers of people living around the mountain today, and the now overpopulated Nakuru town.
Our Kenyan Hero, Mr. Koigi wa Wamwere had echoed his concerns about the creation of the dams which have now caused many deaths in Solai. As then the MP for Subukia, the Kenyan Hero had warned of the dangers of erecting those dams in the area. But because of the height of corruption in Kenya, no one would listen to him at the time. He has now repeatedly warned about the use of the grenades in the harvesting of the building materials along side the Menengai crator at the Menengai mountain in Nakuru.
It is in this regard and my concerns about the lives of the millions of Kenyans living near the Menengai mountain, in Nakuru town and in the adjacent areas, that I sincerely and humbly plead with your Excellency President of Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta, to intervene in order to prevent a calamity which is eminent if these activities continue.
