Bett also declared interest in vying for one of the top seats in Kericho County on a JAP ticket. He did not specify which seat, but sources say that he  is eyeing the position of Kericho governor.

Bett made it clear to Bureti MP Leonard Sang that is not eyeing the Parliamentary seat.

Labour CS Kazungu Kambi cautioned Bett telling him JAP had already identified a candidate for Governor.

He told Bett to allow the current governor, Paul Chepkwony to continue serving Kericho county residents as he had proven to be one of the best governors in the country.
