Controversial American Televangelist Creflo Dollar arrived in Kenya on Thursday for a three day visit.
Dollar was brought in by Deliverance church leader Mark Kariuki. Upon arrival, the ‘man of God’ was hosted by Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero at his office. He had many planned engagements, from a TV interview at KTN to a Sh12,000 per person dinner at Safari Park Hotel and then a Sh5000 per head breakfast.
On Saturday he was at Kasarani speaking on Love, sex and relationships at Kasarani Gymnasium at a cost of Sh1,000 per participant.
If you’re looking for the meaning of commercialized ministry, don’t look further. Creflo Dollar is your man. I mean, even his name betrays him.
In Kenya he was treated like a king even by our governor, but back home he’s not a favourite. His church was once under congress investigations.
He lives a lavish life and to his name he has 3 mansions in Atlanta, New Jersey and Manhattan. Each of these is worth at least $2.5 million. He also owns two Rolls Royce among many other cars.
His prized possession is however his customized private jet which he brought to Nairobi.
In 2012, police charged him for assaulting his own daughter. Charges were only dropped last year when he completed an anger management program.
