A Kenyan man, Gabriel Mubea has been in a come for eight years now in Atlanta Georgia. Gabriel and his wife,Cecilia Mburu came to the US in 2004 after winning a green card.He is a father of four.
In 2007 Gabriel had an accident during his daily activities where he fell off the ladder which was eighteen feet high. His skull was badly crushed with severe head injuries. Luckily enough he didn’t die.
After being in ICU for a long time, he was transferred from one hospital to the other for treatment. He has been in comma for eight good years now.
Mubea has been receiving home based care at Brooke wood apartments opposite Piedmont hospital in Atlanta Georgia. Since then, his wife who was not much skilled have been struggling with the challenges of taking care of the bedridden husband and taking care of the family issues that includes bringing food on the table.Right now the wife is jobless and is looking for a job in nursing,she has done a CNA course.
