Raila Odinga’s CORD coalition is leaving nothing to chance in the Homa Bay senatorial by election slated for 12 Feb 2015. The party held a fundraiser on Wednesday and today the no mercy campaign kicked off with two teams leading campaigns in the expansive county.
The race is mainly between ODM’s Moses Kajwang’ and ex ODM strongman Philip Okundi who defected to Maendeleo Development Party.
CORD Principal Senator Moses Wetangula, together with Senator Ongoro, Homabay Deputy Governor, ,ODM chair John Mbadi, Kaluma, TJ and all Ndiwa MCAs were at Obera in Dhiwa to drum support for Moses Kajwang while deputy party leader and Kakamega county Governor Hon Oparanya was leading another team comprising of Hon Junet Mohammed, Hon Osele , Hon Wanga and Eliud Owalo in Kasipul.
Moses Kajwang’ is expected to win but the party is taking no chance.
