Cabinet secretary for devolution and planning Anne Waiguru yesterday joined Kibera youth and the NYS in the Kibera Upgrading Initiative.
The initiative aims at managing solid waste, unblocking drainage systems and clearing and paving the roads in the slum. The program will take three months and will cover all the villages before it is rolled out to other informal settlements in the country.

The initiative will also employ more than 3000 youths from Kibera.
