But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Who, but God, knows what life or the future holds. Some fear the future; their health, job, economy, the world situation can make us fearful, indeed. Yet our tomorrows with its uncertainty, should hold no fear, to those whose faith is stayed on the Lord.

God says, "Fear not," hundreds of times in His Word.  He says in Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. “In God, you and I may face life unafraid.

Isaiah 41 was written in tough times, like ours. -Look at verse 5, "ends of the earth were afraid."-What did they do? "Everyone helped his neighbor." Said to one another, "Be of good courage" (v 6). Listened as God said, "I have chosen you." Yes, all. -Then verse 10, "Fear not, for I am with you …"-Great verse! Say with the Psalmist, "God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid" (12:2), Friend, it works. -We can tremble and fear. Or we can trust and obey. A God, and Savior like Jesus, can give us victory.

Here are five reasons why we can win over fear.

"Fear not, I am with you."-The One, Living and True God, made that promise. Not man-but the God Who made man. All of us. He is the Creator of all things. Eternal. Holy. A God of love.

We need not be afraid of trouble. Why so?–"God is a present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).Think of all Jesus helped when on this earth! –He’s still the same, "yesterday, today, forever."

We need not fear any man. Or, what man can do.  For those who know the Lord, "What can man do?" –"Who can be against us, when God is for us" (Romans 8:31). With faith fully in the Lord, God guides.

We need not fear death. It holds fear for some. -Listen to the Psalmist, "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil."-Why this confidence? "For Thou art with me."(23). Didn’t our Savior Who died for our sins, arise? -Did He not say, "Because I live, you will also"?

We need not fear the future. Whatever it may hold. When our God promises, "I am with you," He is!-A year ago, many wondered what was ahead, didn’t we? -Yet, trusting the Lord day by day, He saw us through.

There are many gods out there of all kinds.

May I say, in the end, the God Jesus revealed is the very best, in every way! The Risen, Living God. A God to love. Revere. Worship. Praise. Glorify.-Who can change sinners into saints – forgiven. A God Who has a "plan for good, not evil" for us.-A God Who feels our pain, "by His stripes, heals." -One "Who ever lives to make intercession for us." This God is God. He says, "I am .. God" (v. 10).-I am so glad that He is mine. Let’s hear Peter.

-He said to Jesus, "Lord, to Whom shall we go? You. have the words of eternal life" (John 6:68).Again in Acts 4:-12, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Jesus!

"I will strengthen you." Do you need strength? -Call on Him. God has strength, to share with us. "God is our refuge and strength" (Psalm 46:1)."Fear not, for I am with you .. to strengthen you."-And "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear .. he who fears has not been made perfect in love" (I John 4:18).

These days, who is it that doesn’t need help! Why go it alone? God says, "I will help you" (10,13). He is "able to do .. above all we ask or think." –To help us physically, financially, mentally, spiritually,… – for He is "Almighty.

–"Fear not … I will uphold you with my right hand. –"Uphold you." What does that mean? It means, God will keep us from "falling" but if we do fall, the Lord is there to lift us up and uphold. We all can slip and slide into doubts and sin. .We can get down and discouraged. Let God uphold you.

Friend, I love and want to serve a God like that.-We need a God like that. Like Jesus Who loves us. The One Who "holds the whole world in His hands." -He can hold you and hold me if we are "born again." When we love God, as He loves us, we live unafraid! I ask you, would you like that? You can have it. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going to God.
