At least five people have been confirmed dead following a shoot-out in Buruburu, Nairobi, between police officers and suspected gangsters. One police officer, three suspected gangsters and a civilian caught in the crossfire, lost their lives. In scenes rekindling memories of the Wild West, drama ensued after one of the gangsters locked himself inside a house belonging to a police officer, forcing the police to camp outside the house for hours as they exchanged gunfire. He was later shot dead. Citizen TV was at the scene and brings you pictures of the shoot-out drama.

Kenyan Police Kill Eight in Nairobi
(Nairobi, February 20, 2020) – Since December 25, 2019, police in Kenya have shot dead at least eight people in Nairobi’s Mathare, Kasarani, and Majengo settlements. The police continue to kill crime suspects and protesters in cold blood despite persistent calls to end the killings and the use of excessive force.
