Tuesday, the 11th of December 2012 – Justice Minister Eugene Wamalwa today said that he has no interest in coming on board either the Jubilee or CORD coalitions and will instead proceed with his presidential ambitions under the Pambazuko alliance.
Wamalwa also criticized the other coalitions for not ‘putting the interest of Kenyans first’ saying that any rumour that he was in talks to join either of the alliances was a complete falsehood;

“I have no intentions of being a running mate to any presidential candidate whatsoever. I am the presidential candidate of Pambazuka Coalition and I will run all the way to the end,” he said.

“As of this morning, I have not entered into any other coalition and I offer myself as the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya.”

Wamalwa made the comments while speaking at the New Ford Kenya (NFK) offices in Nairobi where he also announced that the Pambazuko Coalition’s intention is to hold a National Delegates Conference (NDC) in a week’s time.

Wamalwa’s statements today contradicts the earlier assertion by Dujis MP Aden Duale yesterday that talks for the Justice Minister to join the Jubilee Alliance were ‘at an advanced stage’.
