New York, NY: By popular demand, Nairobi Half Life—Kenya’s first official submission for the Academy
Awards ® and the 2012 AFI Fest Audience Award winner—will return to cinemas across the United
States after its successful screening in the Feature Film Project in March.
Last month, cinema lovers in America had the opportunity to see Nairobi Half Life at one of nearly 50
theaters around the country. And at each one of those theaters, the crowd was asked to vote on the fate
of the film. If more than 51 percent of the audiences voted yes, then the cinema would bring the film back.
We are pleased to announce that nearly 100 percent of the audiences voted a resounding yes!
