Dallas, TX – October 4, 2014 – Neema Gospel Church is excited to announce the official opening & dedication of their new facility on Sunday, October 26th, 2014. The facility which seats on 4 acres with 4 buildings is located at 7815 Arapaho Rd., Dallas, TX 75248
Neema church first opened its doors on October 17th 2003 with 18 members in a small room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel along Coit Road in Dallas under the leadership of Pastors Jackson & Lucy Kingori. The church met at this location for only two Sundays before moving to a leased space at the Hillcrest Community Church where they continued to increase every Sunday. Worship services then were from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. The congregation grew rapidly to over 100 members on a regular Sunday until we outgrew the facilities.
On June 1st, 2005 they moved a third time and began leasing space from the then Fellowship Bible Church Arapaho in Dallas (at this point not known a few years down the road they would own the whole church campus). Their worship services were from 2.00pm to 4.00pm partly due to the facilities being in use by the then owners for their worship service in the morning.
During this time Neema Church experienced some ups and the downs, triumphs and trials, pleasures and pain, a refining season that is a big part of what Neema is today. It was during this time (January 27th, 2007) that the Pastor and his leadership launched a building project and by God’s grace the following year were able to buy their first church property at 575 W. Arapaho Rd in Richardson, TX. Their first ever morning service was held there on September 1st, 2008. This era heralded a new beginning for the church characterized by unity of purpose from its top leadership down to all units of leadership within the church structure. The church continued to experience uncommon growth across all different age groups. They outgrew both the main sanctuary and also children’s facilities. Parking was also very limiting.
In December 2012 the Nehemiah Project was launched initially with the aim of paying off the property on 575 W. Arapaho within three years (2016) and there after look moving into a bigger facility. It appears God had other plans. Unknown to them, the church campus (Fellowship Bible Church at Arapaho Rd) Neema had leased space from 5 years earlier was up for sale and by God’s grace seven months later they purchased and closed on that property. The new church campus comprises of four buildings; The Worship Center, Students Center, Kids Center & the church office. All this was made possible due to the support and generous giving of the Neema family members & friends
The Grand Opening Celebration and dedication will take place on Sunday, October, 26th, 2014 at 10.30am. You are all invited to come and celebrate God’s faithfulness to the NGC Family.
