Could the change from the national police service to the Kenya defence force team have compromised the security operations at the Westgate mall, following last Saturday’s terror attack? It is emerging that terrorists may have taken advantage of security lapses blamed on the bad blood and territorial conflicts between the police and the soldiers. Security experts are advising the government to prioritize the establishment of a national security strategic plan with a clear command chain to deal with various forms of insecurities.
