Leaders eulogized former government Chief Whip George Thuo as a fearless and honest leader during a burial service in Thika town on Friday.
President Uhuru Kenyatta described him as a good friend who spoke his truth “no matter how bitter it is”, adding that he would miss his advice.
He told mourners who included First Lady Margaret, MPs and Governors that the former Juja MP brought together leaders from across the political divide following the disputed 2007 presidential elections results when he served as chief whip.
