Courage is one thing you need if you want to get God’s work done because God has not given us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power. A pastor went for a bungee jumping event with teenagers from his church. After most of them had jumped, they all agreed their pastor should also do the jump.
He was about to refuse in participating in bungee jumping when one of the teens told him that if he did not jump then he could not preach about courage. With such a challenge, he decided to jump because he had to practice what he had been teaching.
As believers, there are many opportunities to step out of our comfort zone to serve God. When we feel scared we can hold on to the promise from God, that he has given us a spirit of power. Step out of your comfort zone today by sharing God’s love to those around you. Remember courage will follow when faith takes the lead.
