Utilizing Core Values to navigate through teenage crisis into young adulthood.
Preteens are invited to the FLM seven weeks’ annual preteens’ discipleship seminar. Teenage life is characterized by push and pull forces that threaten to derail the foundation laid at the family cradle as the 9 to 12 year olds grow through adolescence. Until now the child has grown with the family. However the growth stage and associated hormonal surge begin to gravitate the young person away from family into peers world. Unknown to the young life are forces and hidden vices that inevitably will erode all known foundation and impose a different persona that will begin to retaliate, question and rebel against parental nurture and authority. The mission of Family Light ministries is to enlighten the preteen with the safeguard of ‘core values’ to bring about the awareness of the harm that could lead to ruin. This is in line with the scriptures, ‘remember your creator in the days of your youth before the difficult days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them,” (Ecc 12:1).
