As believers, we are to desire to have the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Christ had all the fruits eminent in His life for He was fully God and fully man. In fact in His life on earth, He clearly displayed all the fruits from His walk, talk and ministry. We need to remember that having the fruits of the Holy Spirit does not come as a result of our own Human effort but by the power of the Holy Spirit.
One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is goodness and it can be defined as generous of self and possessions. It includes hospitality and all acts of goodness that flow from the unselfish heart that is more interested in giving than receiving.
In this day and era we find people are more self-centered than ever before that we need to be reminded by the Word of God we need to let the fruit of goodness be filled in our hearts. Today, don’t let an opportunity where you can show goodness to others pass you by.\
Acts 20:35 “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
