Colourful African Nations Cup UK draw in Wembley stadium

A colourful African Nations Cup UK draw took place in Wembley stadium on 17th April in the VIP lounge where Kenya was represented by boxer Erick Ochieng and FA affiliated coach Mr. John Kamau who also manages Greatfield Juniors.

In group D Kenya was drawn alongside seeded team Morocco, Ethiopia, Senegal and Guinea Bissau. This tournament is open to all Kenyans from the age of 16 onwards depending on  individual ability.

Team Kenya training is going on at Wanstead flats playing field, Capel road, E7 0JU every Sunday from 2.30 to 4pm to select a strong team. This tournament is normally a good opportunity for footballers who want to pursue their dreams as African Nations Cup UK (ANCUK) officials works with FA and scouts from local leagues as well as premier leagues.

Anyone who wants to be part of the team is requested to attend training so we can pick a team together and avoid disappointment. The tournament starts on 31st may with Kenya’s first match at 11am and this will be held at Westham memorial park, E15 off Westham district line.

Last year Kenyan fans were voted the best and team Kenya is requesting a repeat this year. This is a good family day out and there will be a lot of entertainment for the young ones including  bouncy castles.
