Nacada CEO, anti-counterfeit agency boss suspended over killer alcohol
The government Thursday interdicted 52 officers including two chief executive officers, deputy county commissioner, OCPDs and heads of intelligence in five countries where illicit alcohol has so far claimed 81 lives.
Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Coordination Joseph Ole Lenku said that it would not be business as among government officers in dealing with illicit alcohol.
Mr Ole Lenku said National Authority for Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse chief executive Dr William Okedi and the head of the anti-counterfeit agency are responsible for standards and regulations of the industry.
