Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic has ventured int previously unchattered waters by unveiling a plane with not the ordinary bottom but a glass bottom. This innovation was announced on their website.
Branson went ahead to post this “Im thrilled to announce that Virgin has created another world-first with the introduction of the technology required to produce the worlds first glass-bottomed plane. This technological innovation coincides with the start of Virgin Atlantic Airways first ever domestic service to Scotland.”
“In 1984 we started the wonderful airline that is Virgin Atlantic. I am incredibly proud of yet another aviation breakthrough which has been years in the making. I cant wait to experience the first flight for myself with my family and other natural born explorers.”
The Virgin companies took to Twitter (#VirginGlassPlane) to speculate what might happen if passengers onboard the glass-bottomed plane were to spot the Loch Ness Monster after one of the UK’s major national newspapers, The Mirror, reported that special permission had been granted for Virgin Atlantic to fly low over Loch Ness to take in the stunning Scottish scenery.
