Three Kenyan maids try to commit suicide in Saudi Arabia

Three Kenyan housemaids tried to commit a suicide in Saudi Arabia but were saved by the civil defence and a local man, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The maids went up to the top of a building in the northwestern Tabuk town and tried to jump down before they were persuaded not to do so. The maids were on the top of the building and threatening to jump when a Saudi man saw them and started to talk to them.

“I succeeded in persuading two of them to come down but the third one insisted on jumping down. I phoned the civil defence who sent men to the top of the building and grabbed the third maid,” Ziad Al Wabsi told Sabq newspaper.

He said the maids live in a room in that building and were awaiting their deportation after quitting their Saudi employers.
