The identified primary schools are located in different parts of the country.  The programme is expected to establish challenges faced to pave way for effective distribution of the computers to millions of pupils.

Muchungucha Primary School in Murang’a county has been selected to represent Central Kenya region. Others are located in Samburu, Kisii, and coastal region.

Ministry’s Head of ICT programmes John Temba Wednesday said the pilot programme is meant to identify the challenges that would hamper the distribution programme.

He said the team is also looking at the security of the laptop programme and inspecting the rooms where they will be stored before they distribute to pupils.
