Kimaiyo hands over office to acting IG Samuel Arachi

Outgoing Inspector General of police David Kimaiyo has today formally handed over office to his
deputy in charge of the Administration Police, Samuel Arachi during a short ceremony held at
the inspector- general’s office at Jogoo House.
Arachi will take charge of the National Police Service for a transitional period pending the
vetting and formal appointment of Kimaiyo’s successor, Joseph Kipchirchir Boinett who was
nominated by president Uhuru Kenyatta on december 31st last year.
