Mutula Kilonzo jnr records statement with CID over his father’s autopsy samples
Makueni, Kenya: Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior Tuesday recorded a statement with CID after Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko ordered probe into alleged tampering of his father’s autopsy samples.
He presented himself before the CID headquarters in Nairobi and was to be joined by his sister Kethi.
Unknown people are said to have tampered with the postmortem samples prompting the family to complain. It was then that the DPP ordered the police to probe the claims.
âI am now recording the statement with the police over this issue. It is a serious issue,â said Junior.
His late father Mutula Kilonzo was found dead in his house in Maanzoni on April 27, 2013.
Mutula’s body was found tucked in bed with foam in the mouth. There were also indications that the lawyer had vomited and samples were collected for analysis
He was not sick or suffering at the time of his death. The cause was not revealed.
