Nominate a Kenyan boy with special needs to win an adaptive bike

A Kenyan family is hoping and praying that their son and brother will will be able to receive a adaptive bike.

Cameron K is an 8 year old boy who has severe autism, a sensory processing disorder and a rare genetic disorder called PTLS.

He has low muscle tone, balance and coordination challenges, delays in speech, gross motor delays, failure to thrive and overall developmental delays.

The low muscle tone makes him insecure when it comes to his balance and he has little muscle/ strength. Learning to ride a bike is very scary to him and fear of falling makes it even harder for him to try. The family tried a traditional bike and a balance bike have been unsuccessful.

They need an adaptive bike to give him a sense of freedom, opportunity to interact with other children and a way to exercise his muscles.

An adaptive bike would allow Cameron to ride a bike despite his cognitive disability, balance and sensory issues. Unfortunately it is cost prohibitive for the family to purchase this bike so please vote for him and give Cameron a chance to be a kid.

All we want is for our son to ride a bike with his brother, says his mother Mary Kimari.
