LAS VEGAS – Feb. 9, 2015 – Kenyans Connect & WATU & Co. in collaboration with the Embassy of Kenya – Washington, D.C., will be hosting a welcome reception in honor of the visiting Kenya Rugby Sevens team and fans attending the USA Sevens International Rugby Tournament being played at Sam Boyd Stadium on Feb. 13, 14 and 15, 2015. The welcome reception will be held at The Loft | Cabo Wabo Cantina inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7.30 p.m.

This exclusive hosted-event will be an appreciation for the team, their efforts and successes, and an opportunity for fans and guests to meet and mingle. The national anthem will be sung and a prayer shared for the team to kick off the festivities and honor of the team. The guest of honor will be His Excellency Ambassador Robinson Njeru Githae, Embassy of the Republic of Kenya with the semi-private networking affair also being attended by sponsors and other invited guests. Sponsors include Chase Bank Kenya, Alphabet Soup, and media sponsors Capital FM Kenya and Kenya Rugby 24/7.

The Kenyan Rugby Sevens rugby team is one of the 16 national teams competing in the HSBC Sevens World Series in Las Vegas and being broadcasted live on NBC Sports. With Rugby Sevensmaking its debut in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics, the HSBC Sevens World Series has becomeone of the most highly anticipated sporting events in the world.
