UHURU ORDERS TOP OFFICIALS ADVERSELY MENTIONED IN CORRUPTION TO STEP ASIDE
President Uhuru Kenyatta has ordered top officials in government who have been adversely mentioned in corruption to step aside pending investigation.
The officials include Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Chief Executives of state corporations.
The President made the order in his State of the Nation address to Parliament on Thursday.
The names of the top officials are contained in a confidential report submitted to the President by the Chief Executive of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
The report was annexed to the President’s speech and handed over to Speakers of the National Assembly and the Senate.
