PHOTOS:Amazing,Uganda’s Parliament is Smaller Than Makueni’s County Assembly

Many of us were seeing Uganda’s parliament for the first time yesterday, and everyone seemed surprised by its small size. In his short speech, Museveni called it a ‘Kafunda’ which means ‘Kibanda’ in Swahili.

Apparently, it was built for 80 members but today accommodates 350.

So I decided to do a spot check to find out which of our County Assemblies can match what the Ugandans have. It turns out Makueni county has some impressive chamber. Machakos, Kiambu and Mombasa are also quite good, as well as a few others.

But at the end of the day, we must admit Tanzania’s Parliament is the most beautiful.
