Video:22 year old Kenyan from Embu enlists with NBA team Philadelphia 76ers


Twenty Two year old Joseph Njeru Njuki from Mbeere in Embu County has scooped, a rare first after being enlisted in the prestigious United States National Basketball Association, Philadelphia seventy sixers.

The former KPA Basketball player becomes the first person country wide, to directly join such an internationally acclaimed Sports Association from School, having finalized his Secondary Education at Upper Hill High School in 2014.

In 2013, Njeru was voted the most valuable player in the nationals Secondary School Games at Mang’u, and went ahead to win the MVP title in the East African regional tournament in Uganda. His well nurtured basketball talent was spotted Four Years ago, while in Form One at Wachoro High School. The towering 6.6 feet, well-built youngster hopes to demonstrate to the world he has what it takes, to compete internationally.
