A throwback video showing the situation during colonial times has surfaced on social media.

The video, posted by Odhiambo Levin Opiyo on Facebook shows a report by a news cameraman who was assigned to cover the news during the Mau Mau uprising(1952 – 1960).
The video shows how colonialists, including women, would walk with guns strapped around their waists in Nairobi, then referred to as city of suspense for fear of the Mau Mau fighters.
