It is also doing just fine in co-curricular activities like sports and entertainment.

At the school, time spent with God is never wasted since it has a strong Christian Union team charged with the responsibility of nourishing the students spiritually.

Wednesdays and Fridays are dedicated to religion and CU meetings.

The school also has an active research club dubbed Research Club Africa, which was founded by Ipsos Kenya to spur research in the school.

It is where Joseph Kuria Irungu, popularly known as Jowie, the murder suspect of slain businesswoman Monica Kimani, learned.

Irungu was a tiny but cheeky student, as revealed to The Nairobian by an insider, who sought anonymity.

In Form Two, Jowie, the fiancé to of TV Journalist Jacque Maribe, who is also in police custody over the murder case, was already dating a relatively older Form Four girl – a thing which often surprised fellow students.

Apart from producing some notable rugby players in the country, including Lucas Asijo, Kevin Oduor, Kevin Otieno and Chris Wanji, the school also prides itself for nurturing gospel artiste Evelyn Wanjiru Agundabweni.

Wanjiru is a singer, worship leader, music director, songwriter and co-founder of Bwenieve Production.

She is best known for her hit songs ‘Mungu Mkuu’, ‘Jehovah Elohim’,’Waweza’, ‘Hossana’, ‘Nikufahamu’ and ‘Tulia’.
