Medical Fundraiser For Pastor Carol Mereka Macharia of New Jersey: “When I first heard the words “You have breast cancer” it was like a nuclear bomb had denigrated inside me. I was no longer a spectator of the war against the disease, I had now been drafted into the war. My survivorship began the moment I was diagnosed. I am still here and for that I give God all the glory. I have undergone surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. I am still undergoing treatment.
The news of having breast cancer is enough to make your head spin especially because at the time of my diagnosis, I was under-insured. My Journey has been nothing short of divine intervention. I have been blessed to have an awesome circle of supporters that consist of family, Kingdom Ambassadors Church family, close friends, the Kenyan community and a stellar team of physicians.

I have chosen to embrace the pain and burn it as a fuel for every day that I challenge this disease. Conquering is sure victory for me. I have learned to turn everything over to God, all my pain and emotions because He has allowed me to go through it and His love for me is bigger than it all.
