Kenya Diaspora Development Expo has developed a business plan competition that awards Kenyans in Diaspora with entrepreneurial spirit to start a sustainable business in Kenya. The main aim of this competition is to encourage innovation, job growth, and development in Kenya. Winners of this award will be awarded during the Kenya Diaspora Expo 2012 which will take place in Nakuru Kenya
Entry Materials: This Online entry form is required to officially enter the Contest. This form must be received by the April 30th , 2012 by 12:00 noon. It is important you answer all questions on this form.
Final Plan Submission: The Business Plan submission is the actual plan you are submitting for judging and, for the Business Venture matchmaking, is due by September 21st, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Submissions may not exceed thirty pages total.
FINALIST BENEFITS
- Selection will be done and 5 Diaspora finalists will be chosen across the world. Each of the 5 finalists will be awarded with $20,000 award for business venture in Kenya
- The participating judges will also facilitate technical assistance to the winners for 1 year after the award.

- Finalist will have Access to over 50 investors interested in financing their businesses based on the award amount as a down payment. Therefore the winners financing requirement will not exceed US$200,000.
