The Bondo legislator rubbished claims by Mr. Waititu that the Odingas were some of the top Government officials who influenced the Kyangโ€™ombe and Syokimau demolitions because they own land in the area.

He said the land they own is in Nairobi and that they bought it from former cabinet minister Waruru Kanja over 30 years ago when there was nobody settling on it.

โ€œOur land is in Nairobi and we bought it 30 years ago but we have been unable to develop it because some people suddenly occupied it and we could not evict themโ€ said Mr. Oburu.

The Assistant Minister however manner the evictions in Kyangโ€™ombe and Syokimau were conducted, terming it barbaric and inhuman.

Dr. Oburu was speaking in his Bondo constituency during the ongoing ODM party grassroots elections.
