Drama as Mudavadi seeks mediation on Jubilee nomination row-Video

Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi’s UDF Party on Monday wrote to the Registrar of Political Parties (RPP) seeking arbitration on breach of contract by TNA and URP over nomination of presidential candidate.

In a statement signed by National Chairman, Hassan Osman, UDF has accused TNA and URP of breaching the presidential candidate nomination criteria.

“We wish to bring to your attention that our party (UDF) did not participate in the said nomination process of the Presidential candidate of the Jubilee Coalition. There exist a misunderstanding as to how the nomination of the Presidential candidate ought to be conducted; whether by consensus or through delegates,” said the statement.

“The purpose of this letter is therefore to seek your direction and guidance arising from the above,” said Mr Osman.

Last Friday, UDF said that Mr Mudavadi severed links with Jubilee coalition on serious grounds of dishonour and lack of integrity by Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.

“It should be on record that Hon Mudavadi had already informed the couple of his decision to severe ties on serious grounds of dishonour, and lack integrity and commitment by the couple,” said a statement from UDF.
