Monday February 18, 2013 – Police were on Sunday forced to use teargas to disperse a crowd which heckled and booed Prime Minister Raila Odinga at a rally in Muhoroni constituency, Nyanza region.

Trouble started after the PM, who was in the region campaigning for his Presidential bid, endorsed immediate former Muhoroni MP Ayiecho Olweny and his Nyando counterpart Fred Outa.
The PM introduced the two but the crowd shouted down the PM forcing the MPs to escape to their vehicles until the PM finished his address.
At Ahero Trading Centre, rowdy youths shouted down the PM saying he is dictating them on whom to vote in during the March 4th.
Police were forced to lob teargas canisters to a section of the crowd after they became too unruly.
The PM was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers Henry Kosgei, Anyang Nyong’o, James Orengo, Fred Gumo and MPs Ayiecho Olweny, Fred Outa and Mager Langat.
